In August 2023 AASP opened a brand new custom built speech pathology centre. The space caters for both adults and children encompassing separate waiting areas, four therapy rooms, therapy kitchen, staff and parent training facility, sensory gym, resource room, parent and disability friendly toilets and parking, administration space, and on-site parking.
Sensory gym
This room is designed to help our kids to regulate so they can get the most out of their therapy session. It is also a fun reward, movement break or social skills space.
Spacious, sensory friendly, modern fit out
Our curved walls and colour scheme make our clinic space calming and welcoming. Lighting is optimal with plenty of natural lighting but also low glare lighting with dimmable lighting in all rooms. High door handles and electrical units optimise client safety.
Adult waiting area
Teens and adults can relax in a quiet space prior to their session.
Kids waiting area
Kids can relax and read a book, shoot some mini hoops or race around the car play mat while they wait for their session. This inclosed space provides a safe but fun waiting space for kids and their parents.
Staff kitchen and meeting room
This room is designed to help our kids to regulate so they can get the The perfect space for a coffee, pizza or chat with a colleague between seeing clients. Client kitchen
Clients love building independence using our client kitchen. It might be a quick cup of tea/coffee for themselves or other clients/families, planning out a recipe (list, budget), following instructions (reading the recipe), time management, social skills (team skill e.g., dividing tasks) and many more fundamental life skills.
Administration
Our reception is where you will find our helpful admin team greeting clients. Printing and other machines are behind the scenes to keep noise levels optimum.
